I registered several domains with OVH. Especially the .ovh domain is the only registrar and it is an option if you are looking for a cheap domain. But I recently had to wait a week from completing the domain registration process to the actual registration. I've used support for the first time and it's the worst experience as you can see on this page. This support is completely useless. In addition, the system occasionally stops enforcement. Even if you're used to working with domains, if you run into unexpected troubles and have to use support, be prepared for the worst experience.

Common logic is not their thing. No intuitive navigation. You have to select your country first, which is not obvious. Leads you through entire order process - incl country selection - before they reject everything because of "wrong" country. What??? Offers German but as German, Austrian or Swiss citizen you can´t register as you can´t select those countries. / We own nearly 1000 domain names and host in 5 different regions. Means, OVH has massive problems delivering.

i dont know why you list them here,they are one of the worst registrars i know.i paid to register one .es domain after days of waiting and not activity from their side i registered elsewhere now they after 2weeks they have not still refunded my money so they charged me for doing nothing and don't give my money back

The most complicated Registrar I have ever seen in my life. Tough in communication and hard to deal with.

Absolutely useless. Paid hours ago and still not able to use my domain. Have told me

"The administrative, technical and billing contacts for a .ES domain must to be a 'particular'"

This isn't even English. I've provided a passport ID and full legal and even this hasn't been enough. Why the hell do they need a passport for a domain name?!

They have personally proven themselves as absolutely useless when it comes to support for their web hosting services and I can not recommend OVH for anything. AVOID OVH AT ALL COSTS.

The control panel is very difficult to use.

Great prices, but require ID verification. Wouldn't trust a foreign company with my personal documents.

Tried ordering a .re domain, when I bought it they said that it might take over 48 hours, but when I came back to check 48 hours later that message was gone and I didn't get any update via the website or my mail for over 54 hours. After that I just refunded on PayPal and bought it somewhere else. Also made a support ticket around 40 hours after and I still haven't gotten a response. Horrible service

Prices listed are... for UK customers. As soon as they discovered I'm from Poland, they redirected me to .pl branch and price got higher by 25%. Thanks.

I can't believe. This business not should be that complicated. I used a lot of registrars 15+ years never happened this situation. Go order from other registrars. You cant find baddest than that company.

Since you are not able to confirm that you are a UK resident we have now cancelled your order. Please be informed that you can still place the same order at www.OVH.ie which accepts orders from customers from all other countries.

Compared to the services of other domain registrars, OVHcloud is really terrible. Very unfriendly user admin panel, and poor customer service support.

Very reliable domain services, apalling customer service (can take a month to get a response). Used a lot, but now moving out after prices went up.

too bad for domainers. this is another firm like ionos. they want extra payments for subscription too (i have no idea, what is it)

They lost an incoming .CO.UK transfer: I have nothing in my control panel for 3 weeks, and of course a support ticket is still unanswered... They have 1999 rules in their billing system for .UK domains as you cannot renew them earlier...

They charge VAT to all their non-EU customers just because of where they are based (=shitty FR).

made an order for a .si domain, paid it. waited for consideration of the application for 1 month (!!!!!!!!). canceled, don't want with a company with such terrible service. And this is after several chats with support on Facebook, where they said that my application would be served with priority. ha ha

For sure the website UI/UX is horrible, even disgusting, but the prices are nice and they improved the registration speed (before it could have taken days, now it's seconds or few minutes)

Love OVH. Easy, cheap and trust worthy.

What a rubbish company!

My card expired. I tried to add another so that I could pay THEM! Every tie they tried to take their pittance form my bank they failed because they ignored/don't support the in bank app approval system. I call support. They blame ME! Idiots!

They tell me I must call my bank and have them make some special arrangement so that OVH can register my card.

Who do they think they are? Which planet are they living on?

And this is just the tip of heir crazy service and its countless favours. Their support guy said today.."Don't blame me. I just work here. Temporarily. I really know nothing about the system. I'm not the big boss!"

Worst Ever!. Customer service is a very slow and not professional. If you order a domain and they cancel your order they won't refund you card (even after a month). They will ask for bank details and information. Not recommended ! Also, apparently you can' transfer your domain before 60 days for no reason. Stay away.

Der Support ist absolut keine Hilfe. Er hat es über ein Jahr lang nicht geschafft meine Domain zu verlängern (wg. internen Fehlern). Stattdessen musste ich mich Stunden über Stunden mit dem "Support" herumärgern - gebracht hat es nichts.

I don't understand other customers' problems. I've never had such problems. After purchasing the domain - registered quickly (time counted in minutes, not hours or days!). A very cheap server for beginners - it already gives a lot of possibilities. Switching to a server with better parameters is easy - it takes up to an hour. During this time, we're getting an initial/temporary access right away before everything is fully stabilized. Moving the domain to a new server and restarting the website (WordPress) took me 10 minutes. During this process, the most time I waited for was the new SSL - an hour. As for POLAND AND POLES - blame your government - the government has set such a high tax. That is why ALL online services or products purchased online (games, applications, OVH!) are more expensive for Poles. OVH is a bit more expensive but you get a lot for the price. OVH is not for people looking for the cheapest domains without any services and looking for free cloudfire solutions. OVH is for people willing to spend a few dollars more for a powerful package of services - all in one place. It's convenient. OVH is simply for someone who plans to have one or more active websites - running for many years.

Ich habe seit mehr als 10 Jahren etliche Domain-Adressen registriert und habe immer noch Domain-Adressen mit/von OVH.

Ok, das Interface von OVH ist ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber ansonsten ist alles soweit in Ordnung.

Habe sogar desöfteren Domains gekauft/bezahlt gehabt und habe direkt bei Abbruch seitens OVH innerhalb 24 Stunden mein Geld wieder zurückerhalten.

Also ich kann und werde auch OVH weiterhin empfehlen für eine Domainregistrierung/-kauf, wenn man natürlich nichts „illegales“ vorhat.

Everything went fantastic. The previous reviews I had seen here made me very alarmed, but unlike I'd ever have guessed then, the domain was available for me to use in no time. I got the name servers (well actually A record) transferred onto my hosting plan and now I am already starting the sites!! ^^ Took maybe an hour in total.

A bit complicated, but after I got myself used to the logic of their system, I found it to be a good service. They provide a small web hosting with SSL for the domain, which is entirely good for the purpose of my site.
